This holiday season has a high likelihood of being the biggest ever when it comes to tablet sales, as multiple manufacturers have unveiled highly publicized new devices over the past few months. To provide a view of the current market environment, Chitika Insights conducted a study focusing on tablet usage in North America.

UPDATE: Little Change in iOS 6 Adoption Following Google Maps Relaunch

After much anticipation, Google Maps has been made available in the Apple App Store for iOS 6 users on both the iPhone and the iPad. Google’s app completed the approval process and launched at midnight, Thursday, December 13th, after significant debate and deliberation between the two tech giants. Following this launch, Chitika Insights studied whether iOS 6 saw an increase in overall adoption as users who were waiting for the Google Maps feature decided to upgrade.

Tablet Market Share Report: Nexus 7 Usage Increases 135% since July

Over the past year, the tablet market has seen major changes. The third-generation iPad was announced in March 2012, and Apple has since gone on to unveil both a fourth-generation iPad and a seven-inch iPad Mini. As the state of the tablet market continues to evolve, Chitika Insights conducted a research study to determine which tablet devices are seeing the most success in terms of usage from their user base.

iOS 6 Adoption Levels Out, Surpasses 60% One Month After Launch

After its release on September 19th, 2012, iOS 6 notably achieved a 15% share of all iOS traffic in its first 24 hours, and saw an adoption rate of over 50% after only 2 weeks. Chitika Insights decided to see how the new OS’ adoption has evolved a full month out from its debut.
