In the iPhone market tug-of-war between AT&T and Verizon, it appears that Verizon is gaining ground. It wasn’t long ago when Verizon users could only admire the iPhone from the sidelines while AT&T controlled the market. Over the past several months, there have been a variety of reports concerning which mobile operating system takes the position of market leader. For the first time, over the first week of July, the Chitika Ad Network reports that Google’s Android platform has beaten out the remaining mobile operating systems in taking the top spot by capturing more than 36% of mobile market share.

iPad Will Pass 2% of All Internet Usage in 2011: July Update

A little more than a year after its launch and the Apple iPad has already positioned itself as a leader in the tablet market, due largely in part to its vast array of apps which today topped 100,000.  Six months ago, Chitika predicted in this article that the iPad would generate 2.3% of all internet traffic by December, 2011.
