It's August 1st, So Why Haven't I Received My July Payment Yet?

This is a question we get a lot… and I mean A LOT! For a good reason, too- what the heck is Net 30??

We pay on a Net-30 basis. This means that you will receive your payment for a specific month 30 days after that month ends. Say you made $60.00 in the month of May. You would receive it 30 days later, at the end of June. And that check you received in May? That is for the money you made in April.

So how will I get paid?

There are two payment methods offered at Chitika: PayPal or Check

PayPal: In order to receive your revenue through Paypal, you need to have a Paypal account and you need to have a balance of at least $10.00.

If you put in the wrong email address for Paypal, your payment will remain unclaimed for 30 days and will go back as a pending balance in your Chitika account. It will then be sent out during the next pay period, but we can’t send it to you before that (this is why it is so important to have your information updated).

Check: If you’d rather receive payments by check (some countries don’t allow Paypal or have a limit on how much you can receive) you need to have at least $50.00 as your pending balance.

It can take up to 3 weeks for a check to reach some parts of the world, so please be patient. 🙂 Also, you should always keep your mailing address updated. It is harder to sort out a payment issue when it is with a check than it is with Paypal.

I hope that clears up some confusion any of you might have regarding Chitika payments. What do you guys think about our payment options?
