Facebook Launches New Design for Pages

It’s never a small deal when Facebook makes a change to the way its 500+ million subscribers deal with their obsession.  But today, it’s rolled out a very nice update to the layout of Facebook Pages – the new design mirrors the new Profile design they launched last December.

We think it’s pretty cool.  Images now show up at the top of the wall, and navigation buttons are on the left, as people are now used to on their profiles.

Another interesting change is that page administrators can toggle between their Page and personal identities.  I, for example, can post either as myself or as the Chitika page.

What do you think?  Is the new design great, or awful, or just… there?

(And if you haven’t already, make sure to like our page to keep up with Chitika Insights and our daily stream of research and news)

For irony’s sake:

  1. I notice I can’t invite my friends to join a page that I like, but if you are an admin you can invite your friends. I think this is a way for them to get the page admin to pay to advertise.
