Anyone who has ever been to an event at Chitika’s stateside headquarters knows that they’re packed with fun, interactive learning opportunities (like our Big Data Open House). But the Chitika office in Hyderabad, India didn’t want HQ to have all the fun, so they recently hosted their first event ever: a Creative Media Competition with plenty of networking thrown in.
Anyone who has ever been to an event at Chitika’s stateside headquarters knows that they’re packed with fun, interactive learning opportunities (like our Big Data Open House). But the Chitika office in Hyderabad, India didn’t want HQ to have all the fun, so they recently hosted their first event ever: a Creative Media Competition with plenty of networking thrown in.
Around 15 local data-driven minds participated, ranging from fresh college graduates to established experts in their field. The event began with a short welcome note and introduction to Chitika, and soon after, the competition took flight with UX designers and engineering grads gunning to whip up the most creative ad design. Participants designed furiously for two hours, sketching their prospective ads on paper and listing out features and components. There was definitely an air of fierce competition!
After the heat closed, competitors were rewarded with some free snacks and drinks while our Manager of Engineering at Hyderabad gave a talk on business practices and products. There were plenty of great questions asked, and Chitika India employees did a great job going in depth to answer them.
A few tense days passed while Chitika judges deliberated over the ad designs. In the end, though, participant Kumar Anchal’s interactive app design reigned over all. Second place went to Kavish Somani’s quick-loading and discount-focused independent ad design. Both winners will receive a meal out with the Chitika India team, as well as a special gift.
