A Season for Giving: Chitika Supports Local Charity with Toy Donation

At Chitika, we love to welcome the holidays by decorating the office and bringing in treats to share. We also take the opportunity to participate in holiday giving, one of the most important elements of the holiday season.  This year Chitika worked with Timothy’s Toy Box, a charity local to our corporate headquarters, to help spread the holiday cheer among a group of children who may not receive gifts this year without donations.
Timothy’s Toy Box is a local nonprofit started in 2007 by Sharon Gilbert and her son Timothy. It was created to help children in need around the Framingham, Massachusetts area during the holiday season. Last year they collected over 1,600 new toys and delivered them to local homeless shelters, churches, schools, and more, also providing the necessary items for wrapping gifts for these children to wake up to on Christmas. This was a cause everyone at Chitika felt passionate about and through a company-wide initiative, we were able to load Sharon’s car with a donation of toys for children of all ages, helping Timothy’s Toy Box reach their giving goals for 2012.
