In tremendously exciting news for T-Mobile fanboys across the nation, this weekend Boy Genius Report published some exclusive leaked images of a white iPhone 4(?) running on the T-Mobile network. Awesome, although maybe redundant, if AT&T does manage to buy T-Mobile. But I digress.
We dug into a bit of our iPhone traffic to see if anything was coming across as T-Mobile. Some was. Not much, obviously, and it’s impossible for us to say if the traffic was T-Mobile iPhones or iPhones connected to T-Mobile hotspots. But it was still interesting to look at.
Here’s the breakdown of T-Mobile iPhone usage:
- Atlanta, GA – 29.7%
- Snoqualmie, WA – 21.6%
- Orlando, FL – 4.7%
- Riverside, CA – 4.6%
- Beltsville, MD – 4.4%
- Irvine, CA – 4.0%
- New York, NY – 3.4%
- Chicago, IL – 3.3%
- Denver, CO – 3.2%
- Houston, TX – 3.1%
Most likely, the vast majority of these iPhones are simply running off of a T-Mobile hotspot. But it’s always fun to speculate, and with the T-Mobile iPhone rumor mill in full swing, it’s an interesting look into a group of people who like their T-Mobile connection enough to run their iPhones on it, one way or another.
