AT&T Posting Strong Q4 with iPhone, with Verizon on the Horizon

With the launch of the iPhone 4 on Verizon on February 10th, many analysts, including Chitika Research, believed that AT&T could be seeing a rough stretch in the near future. However, a recent post by Robin Wauters at TechCrunch indicates a strong fourth quarter for the cellular giant, with over 4 million iPhone activations.

With that in mind, we decided to take a look at the recent growth pattern of the iPhone in the US and Canadian marketplace, as a share of Chitika’s network.

In just ten weeks, iPhone gained an additional 26.3% share of the Chitika network, further highlighting the growing mobile sector, and reflecting a strong surge by the provider. While AT&T could be facing an adjustment period in the near future due to Verizon’s iPhone market entry, the blow has seemingly been softened by a very strong Q4.
