iPhone and Android OS Breakdown – 61% of iPads on iOS 4
As of the beginning of 2011, both the iPhone and Android family of devices see very similar levels of fragmentation. 84% of all iPhones seen across the Chitika advertising network were running iOS 4, while 80% of Android devices ran some flavor of Froyo (Android 2.2).
Interestingly, the iPad tablet has seen fairly rapid adoption of iOS 4. The OS, which was officially released on November 22, is already powering some 61% of all iPads.
